Fifth Dawn is the third set of Mirrodin block, released in 2004 with set code 5DN. It adds sunburst and introduces scry, while continuing the block’s artifact-heavy gameplay with Equipment, affinity cards, mana artifacts, artifact creatures, and strong artifact interaction. Historically, Fifth Dawn was drafted as the final pack of Mirrodin-Darksteel-Fifth Dawn, not as triple-Fifth Dawn. In a standalone set cube or online draft, the set pushes players toward flexible artifact decks, splash-heavy mana bases, and five-color sunburst cards more than strict two-color archetypes. Fixing such as Wayfarer’s Bauble, Pentad Prism, Talismans from the block context, and mana Myr-style support helps players cast off-color cards and maximize sunburst.
